Two of the most historic youth football organizations in the Southern California area, Warrior Football & Cheer and Outlaw Football & Cheer have agreed upon terms of a merger. The agreement will create the largest youth football organization in the local Southern California area with nearly 400 participants.
The terms of the merger were agreed upon on May 16th in a meeting with board members of both organizations.
Warrior Football & Cheer is part of the Non-Profit Santa Clarita Valley Athletic Association and was founded in 1965. They have recently celebrated its 50th anniversary of serving the youth of the Santa Clarita Valley.
Outlaw Football & Cheer is part of the Non-Profit Canyon Country Athletic Association and was formed in 1986 and has served the youth of Canyon Country and surrounding areas for 20 years.
James Smith, President of Warrior Football states “This is a great and historic event for our two chapters. We each have a long history of delivering the best youth football and cheer experience to kids in our valley. Now as one united organization we can make that experience even better and establish a new foundation that will allow us to continue serving the SCV for years to come.
Joe Estanol, President of the CCAA Outlaws says “The timing was right for this merger. By combining the strengths of our two organizations, we are able to provide the hands down best youth football and cheer experience for kids whether they are from Stevenson Ranch, Saugus or Canyon Country. Kids from all over the SCV can now play together on the same teams. This merger brings us back together as one organization with the capabilities of serving this valley for generations to come.”
The merger has been approved by the Pacific Youth Football League and will take place immediately. Parents from all over the Santa Clarita Valley are now able to sign their child up for the program’s 2016 season regardless of geographic location.
