logo-goldenoakjazzbandSince the mid-1990s, the SCV Mayor’s Committee, a local nonprofit organization, has focused on one main goal – to promote the benefits of hiring employees with disabilities. The committee is made up of volunteers and is involved in several events annually toward this end.

The latest is a celebration planned for Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at the Newhall Library (24500 Main Street, Santa Clarita, 91321).

You are cordially invited to join us.

There will be refreshments, a welcome by the City, greetings and update on activities by our Chairperson, R.J. Kelly, recognition of the many employers who support our cause, background entertainment provided by the Golden Oak GO JAZZ – Lite Band, opportunity prizes, and a great chance to network with your fellow Santa Clarita community.

Everyone is welcome. Please RSVP (661-259-0033 X500), so we can plan for refreshments.

Don’t miss out on this fun, early evening event.
