The City of Santa Clarita’sThursdays@Newhall series, presented by Galpin Subaru, continues in April with its second installment of its 2016 season. Main Street in Old Town Newhall will come to life each Thursday evening with a variety of events, including JAM Session Celtic Dance, Revved Up Best of Britain, SENSES Wild Wild West themed block party, and renowned musicians Syd Masters and the Swing Riders at SCVTV Presents OutWest Concert Series.

Earth Arbor Day

The City of Santa Clarita’s Earth Arbor Day celebration, presented by the SCV Family of Water Suppliers, will be held on Saturday, April 16, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday, April 17, from 10 am – 4 pm at Central Park.  The event is held in conjunction with the worldwide Earth Day efforts of improving environmental awareness and taking care of the planet. Join in the festivities at this eco-friendly event to renew your commitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle to protect and preserve our environment.

Shooting the West

Reception: Wednesday, April 20, at 7:00 p.m.
Location: First Floor Gallery, City Hall

With the birth of photography in 1839, cameras began to accompany explorers everywhere, including the American West.  The photographers featured in the Shooting the West art exhibit continue the legacy by capturing the spirit and romanticism of the West through images depicting Western Lifestyle, Rodeo Culture, Landscapes, and Wildlife.

The City of Santa Clarita is excited to bring theCowboy Festival to multiple locations in the heart of Old Town Newhall, from April 20 – April 24, 2016. The 23rd annual event will continue to provide a high level of music, entertainment, food, and shopping at William S. Hart Park for a weekend of Western festivities. Additional locations to catch new and returning performers will be at the Canyon Theatre Guild, Repertory East Playhouse, William S. Hart Mansion, and Rancho Camulos Museum.
