Friday night, three of our local high school football teams- Hart, Canyon and Valencia- all faced off against different teams in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Football Playoffs. Canyon took on San Luis Obispo at home, Valencia battled Paso Robles at home, and Hart headed to Arroyo Grande.

Here are the final scores:

CIF Southern Section Football Playoffs – First Round

Canyon 42

San Luis Obispo 9

Canyon advances to Round 2, and will face Atascadero on the road next Friday night.

Hart 48

Arroyo Grande 6

Hart advances to Round 2, and will face Palos Verdes at home next Friday night.

Valencia 43

Paso Robles 36

Valencia advances to Round 2, and will face Quartz Hill next Friday night.
