Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested a couple from Palmdale and a Simi Valley man on drug charges in the Park and Ride lot at Golden Valley Road off Highway 14 on Sunday, according to officials.

Here’s the story from the station’s social media:

“While conducting a Sunday morning patrol check at a Park and Ride on Golden Valley Road in (an) effort to thwart any potential vehicle burglaries, deputies made contact with two men and a woman sitting in a car.

“As one of the deputies approached the car, he observed that the man in the front passenger’s seat had what appeared to be a bag of heroin and methamphetamine sitting on his lap.

“Upon further investigation, deputies found needles, scales and packaging equipment consistent with narcotic sales within the vehicle.

“Deputies arrested a Palmdale man and woman for narcotic sales, a felony.

“A Simi Valley man, who was with the couple, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

“All three were transported and booked at the station’s jail.”
