Apr 17, 2017: Anatomy of a Struggle at CalArts
Apr 17, 2017 08:00 pm
CalArts School of Theatre Presents: Anatomy of a Struggle
There are things that we have not figured out. There are things that many have chosen to not want to figure out. Some may argue these things are better off not figured out. Or even worse, believe they are figured out. There are things that must, at all costs, be figured out. A play was written by one of America’s greatest playwrights, yet not produced for 60 years after it was written. The story was based on a newspaper article chronicling a moment of American injustice. It was a topic uncomfortable for many. 80 years later, 250 years later, 500 years later, discomfort still wins. We hear that many still choose not to hear; we see that many still choose not to see.
