Show Sand Fire first responders you care … and have another slice.
Diners at Valencia’s California Pizza Kitchen restaurant can enjoy Pizza with a Purpose anytime Aug. 31. On that day, CPK will donate 20 percent of the total check to Fire Family Foundation, the charitable hand of Firefighters First Credit Union, a nonprofit that assists firefighters, their families and all affected by fire devastation.
Patrons must present a flyer (download here) which can be used for dine-in, take-out, catering and all beverages.
Based in Los Angeles, the Foundation reaches out and responds to fire families in need across the state of California. Currently, the Foundation is assisting two firefighters who battled the Sand Fire – and whose own homes were destroyed in that blaze. “This assistance will help my younger brother James and his fellow firefighter Ray who are trying to pick up the pieces,” says Sondra Steffan who contacted the Foundation on behalf of these two USFS firefighters. “These men and their families saw everything they owned pretty much destroyed. Fire Family Foundation is helping them move forward and we are so grateful.”
“It’s high fire season and Pizza with a Purpose is a great way to show our thanks to the brave men and women who keep us, our homes and our community safe,” explains Robin McCarthy, Exective Director for Fire Family Foundation. “Going to CPK for a meal is an easy way to support our extended firefighting family and support the first responders of the devastating Sand Fire.”
The Valencia CPK is located at 24061 Newhall Ranch Road, Valencia 91355.
