Minimum wage laws change July 1, so the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation and SCV law firm Poole & Shaffery, LLP will present a “Minimum Wage Forum” at College of the Canyons’ University Center on Wednesday, August 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Mandated minimum wages in the SCV will be up to $2.25 per hour higher for businesses west of Interstate 5 in unincorporated County of Los Angeles territory than for those east of the I-5 in the city of Santa Clarita.

Find out as Minimum Wage Forum panelists Ken Wiseman, CEO/Managing Partner of AMS Fulfillment; Steve Wooten, Vice President of FMI Aerostructures; Jay Schutz, Owner/Operator of McDonald’s Restaurants of Santa Clarita; and Terri McGraw, Account Manager of Exact Staff provide insight on how they are implementing minimum wages increases in their companies.

Brian Koegle of Poole & Shaffery, LLP will also provide a minimum wage law update.

The forum will take place at College of the Canyons’ University Center, UCEN Room 258, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia 91355.

Breakfast will be provided.
