Jeffrey Paal is this what’s going on across from us?
Oh, Kristy Curtis, that’s based on the mineral rights that were originally ILLEGALLY awarded by the crooks at the BLM!! The people of the community would have, and will wish…the minimal mining that was going on before would still be in process today! Ben Curtis
Really? Crap on all of them.
When your kids start getting asthma from all the dust say thankyou to cemex air quality will be way worse contaminating ground water
It’s all for high speed rail block the rail no mining and you will save the mountains and people’s property from imminent domain
Explain this Lisa
Incredibly, after spending millions of taxpayer dollars, so many of the local citizens don’t even have a clue as to where this is or what is going on. Unfortunately, most of them that “think” they are in the know, are clueless as to potential REAL impacts. Forget the panic driven hyperbole, and look into some facts. Unless that happens, the result will NOT be desireable. (Unless you are the Mexicans that own CEMEX)
Figures
Santa clarita is going down :( will turn gray
And their truck drivers tail gating you @ 70 mph on the 14 frwy, in the slow lane, flashing their lights at you cause 70 isn’t fast enough for them with a 60 to 70 thousand pound load in the trailer…
Thanks Buck for all your help. Hope you never come back here
I hope the entire Santa Clarita Valley engages in protesting this threat to our community. From those on the west side fighting to prevent brine injection wells, to those on the east side who know their air and environment will be polluted, we must join hands fighting against these hazards.
Leadership should not just come from the City, but also the surrounding communities. This is truly a time to step forward and raise our combined voices to halt this forced intrusion against our quality of life.
Gene Uzawa Dorio, M.D.
Most of the blame falls on Buck McKeon who was our congressman for all the time the CEMEX controversy was brewing. If the mine starts up, I think it should be known forever as “BUCK’S FOLLY.”
It is no surprise that when Buck retired this year, he abandoned the SCV and moved to the D.C. area permanently. He could never show his face safely in this town after this debacle! What a piece of work…
