Construction notice: The city of Santa Clarita has advised residents and their four-legged family members, the Central Bark Dog Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91350, was closed for construction beginning Monday, April 10. It is anticipated that the dog park will be closed for two weeks.

During the closure, the dog park will receive a range of new enhancements including lighting, trees, irrigation, shade structures and picnic tables.

While Central Bark is closed, residents and their dogs can visit Canine Country at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex, 20870 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA 91350 or Five Barks Dog Park located at Golden Valley Park, 27227 Five Knolls Drive, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.

Chiquita Canyon, LLC has announced that the Chiquita Canyon Landfill is closing active waste disposal operations effective Jan. 1, 2025. The last day for accepting incoming solid waste at the landfill is Tuesday, Dec. 31. While waste disposal operations will conclude, Chiquita Canyon, LLC will continue to manage the landfill, address the noxious odor incident occurring onsite and oversee closure and post-closure activities.
