College of the Canyons defensive back Michael Nacnac became the latest Cougar to sign with a four-year school, with the Hawaii native committing to Clarke University earlier this week.
The Clarke Pride are a first-year NAIA program located in Dubuque, Iowa.
Nacnac is one of 32 signees from the CU 2019 recruiting class that head coach Miguel Regalado will begin his new program with.
Described as “a linebacker in a safety’s body”, Nacnac played two years for the Cougars establishing an important role on both defense and special teams.
Clarke, which will compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, begins its inaugural season on Aug. 31 vs. Central Methodist University.
Nine members of the Cougars’ 2018 conference championship team have signed with four-year schools so far this spring.
