23700 block of Via Tomas
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle by shattering the window and stealing her purse. The purse was on the floor of her vehicle.

Burglary (Vehicle)
27400 block of The Old Road
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole a backpack which had numerous personal items inside including his laptop.

Burglary
23400 block of Valencia Boulevard. Suspect(s) unknown entered the location and stole cash and shattered the glass doors to access the building.

03/07/2017 Tuesday

Grand Theft
Decoro Drive/Copperhill Drive
Suspect(s) unknown stole a back flow device and several copper piping fittings from the location which belonged to the city.

Petty Theft
24200 block of Magic Mountain Parkway
A female was arrested at the location for stealing the victim’s bicycle.

03/08/2017 Wednesday

Burglary
25800 block of McBean Parkway
An unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s locked vehicle and stole her purse and all her personal items.

03/09/2017 Thursday

Perry Theft
26400 block of Bouquet Canyon Road
A male suspect walked into the location and ran out of the store with a power tool in his hands. The suspect made no attempt to pay for the item.

03/10/2017 Friday

Grand theft
24400 block of Magic Mountain Parkway
Three unknown males walked into the store and stole several items and exited the store without paying for the items.

Burglary
28200 block of Newhall Ranch Road
Suspect(s) unknown forced entry into the location and ransacked the business. At the time of this report it was undetermined what was stolen.

Petty Theft
24200 block of Valencia Boulevard
An unknown male suspect reached over the counter at the business and stole the cash from the register and ran out of the store.

03/11/17 Saturday

Petty Theft
28800 block of Startree Lane
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked car and stole his wallet, credit cards, and CDL.

Rape
22800 block of White Pine Place
A female victim alleged she was raped by a friend while she was sleeping.

Grand Theft Auto
24000 block of Newhall Ranch Road
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1999 Honda Civic 4-door.

Robbery
24100 block of Valencia Boulevard
While the victim was walking near the location and unknown male black grabbed her purse off her shoulder and fled from the location. The suspect ran outside and jumped into a beige Dodge Charger.

Assault with a deadly weapon
25800 block of Railroad Road
A male victim was attacked by two unknown males and stabbed in the face. The victim was cut in the chin and refused to provide any information about the suspects.

Burglary (Commercial)
27600 block of Newhall Ranch Road
An unknown suspect smashed the front door to the location and made his way inside. Once inside the location the suspect ransacked the place and stole cash and damaged several items inside the store.

IF YOU WITNESS A CRIME
If you see or suspect a crime is being committed, pay particular attention to the features of the offender(s) and any vehicles involved. Try to be prepared to provide at leas the following about the offenders:
1. Age, race, height and weight;
2. Hair color and style, beard and mustache;
3. Notable characteristics (acne, scars, glasses, mental state, etc.)
4. Clothing description;
5. Location where last seen;
6. Last known direction of travel;
7. vehicle description and distinctive markings
Witnesses who wish t remain anonymous may do so. it is more important that a response be dispatched as quickly as possible.

Tips for Talking with Kids About Drugs
Don’t put off talking to your children about alcohol and other drugs. As early as fourth grade, kids worry about pressures to try drugs. School programs alone aren’t enough. Parents must become involved, but most parents aren’t sure how to tell their children about drugs. Open communication is one of the most effective tools you can use in helping your child avoid drug use. Talking freely and really listening show children that they mean a great deal to you.
What do you say?
Tell them that you love them and you want them to be healthy and happy.
Say you do not find alcohol and other illegal drugs acceptable.
Discuss the legal issues. A conviction for a drug offense can lead to time in prison or cost someone a job, driver’s license, or college loan.
Talk about positive, drug-free alternatives, and how you can explore them together. Some ideas include sports, reading, movies, bike rides, hikes, camping, cooking, games, and concerts. Involve your kids’ friends.
