Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested seven people in the SCV on various felonies and misdemeanors between Thursday and Sunday morning.

“Keeping our local probationers in check (is) a joint effort between (the) SCV Sheriff’s Station and the LA County Probation Department.
“On Thursday morning, Jan. 24, LA County Probation officers conducted a probation search on a registered sex offender living in Canyon Country. As part of the probation terms, the probationer is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms, ammunition and tasers.
“During the probation search of the man’s residence, officers found two handguns, a taser, and ammunition (pictured above). Deputies responded and arrested Gregory Lawrence, 69, on felony charges of convicted felon in possession of firearm, ammunition, and a taser.
“Lawrence was additionally charged for being in violation of his probation.
“On Saturday, deputies located a 25-year-old man (pictured above) on Jakes Way in Canyon Country who was wanted for a parole violation. They gave him a ride to jail.
On Saturday night and early Sunday morning, “SCV Sheriff’s (Station) deputies arrested five individuals between the ages of 24-46 on charges of narcotics, being drunk in public, domestic battery and DUI.”
