Crime Information and Public Safety Report for Castaic / Val Verde (Zone 2): Week of January 30th, through February 5th, 2017.
The following part 1 crimes were reported this period.
1/30/17
Residential Burglary- 31000 Cinnabar Lane.
The victim reported several gold and silver coins, and miscellaneous jewelry stolen from his home over the last two months. The victim reported no forced entry to the home and believes the suspect could be a repair man he hired.
1/31/17
Theft- 27000 block of Bridlewood Lane.
The victim reported the tailgate to his 2013 Ford F-150 truck stolen. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.
1/31/17
Theft- 29000 block of Cambridge Avenue.
The victim reported the tailgate to his 2010 Chevy Silverado truck stolen. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.
2/01/17
Commercial Burglary- 30000 Park Vistas Drive.
A classroom at the elementary school was rummaged through after suspects gained entry through an unlocked window. It was unknown what, if anything, was taken at the time of the report.
2/01/17
Theft- 29000 Plymouth Road.
The victim reported a “Lenova” laptop and a black “Targus” backpack stolen from their vehicle in the early morning hours.
2/02/17
Theft- 29000 Plymouth Road.
The victim reported a flashlight and a CD case stolen from their vehicle in the early morning hours.
Remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.
