California State University, Northridge has issued a list of important dates for the Fall 2023 semester. Here’s a rundown of important dates from the Student Academic Calendar.

Weekend classes begin Saturday, Aug. 26. Weekday Classes begin Monday, Aug. 28.

Important Dates for Fall 2023

Aug. 27, 2023 — Last day of nonrestrictive registration.

Aug. 28 — Late registration begins.

Sept. 1 — Friday-only classes begin.

Sept. 2-4 — Labor Day holiday. No instruction Saturday, Sept. 2 through Monday, Sept. 4.

Sept. 4 — Last day to wait-list for closed classes.

Sept. 5 — Permission required to add classes.

Sept. 24 — Last day to drop classes.

Sept. 25 — The fifth week of classes begins.

Nov. 10 — Veterans Day. No instruction Friday, Nov. 10 through Sunday, Nov. 12.

Nov. 17 — Last day to add a class online, with instructor’s permission.

Nov. 23-26 — Thanksgiving recess.

Dec. 9-10 — Last weekend classes.

Dec. 11 — Last day of formal instruction, fall 2023 semester.

Dec. 12-18 — Finals week.

Dec. 12 — Grades available in the CSUN Portal; updated nightly.

Dec. 22 — Last official day, fall 2023 semester.

Feb. 16, 2024 — Last day to file documents for fall 2023 graduation.
