Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies recently arrested a Saugus man who authorities later discovered is also allegedly responsible for vehicle fuel thefts in the industrial areas of Valencia. The following is from the social media account of the SCV Sheriff’s Station:
Michael Pletz, 49, of Saugus was arrested by the Crime Impact Team on Dec. 17 for outstanding warrants. During their investigation, it was discovered he was responsible for siphoning fuel from gas tanks in industrial areas.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are seeking additional victims of fuel theft from vehicles belonging to local businesses. The fuel thefts occurred from February 2018 thru December 2018, primarily in the Valencia industrial areas.
