The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services has partnered up with the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide relief to residents who recently suffered damages to their homes and property as a result of flooding last month.
Based on a request from Senator Sharon Runner, R-Antelope Valley, Assemblyman Tom Lackey, R-Palmdale, and Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, the Governor’s Office opened up a Disaster Loan Outreach Center in the Antelope Valley.
SBA declared a disaster in Los Angeles County in response to a request from Governor Brown’s Office of Emergency Services.
“Many of my constituents throughout the Antelope Valley and Los Angeles County are still dealing with the aftermath of the severe flooding and mudslides,” said Runner. “I am thankful the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and U.S. Small Business Administration understood the gravity of the situation and are stepping in to provide much needed assistance.”
The SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center makes low interest federal disaster loans available to businesses and residents to help finance recovery. No appointment is necessary.
