Mature Job Seekers Workshop on Tuesday, July 22^nd from 1 – 3 pm. What is a Mature Job Seeker?  The Department of Labor defines it as any individual 55+ looking for employment.  At the WorkSource, we know that a Mature Job Seeker is anyone who sees themselves as one.  If you find yourself feeling discouraged competing for jobs with the “younger generation” or “up and coming youth in their 20s”, you are a Mature Job Seeker.  Let us help to change your perspective and help you understand why employers want “Mature Job Seekers” on their teams and teach you how to avoid being screened out in the process!

Successful Job Skills for Your Job Search is back by popular demand on Wednesday, July 23^rd from 3 – 4 pm. Whether you are networking, interviewing for a job, or seeking a promotion, you need to be able to sell what you have to offer the employer.  Invest in yourself and join Dan Ryan, a successful sales manager and UC Berkley Graduate,  as he helps you sharpen this skillset and enhances your ability to sell yourself right into your next great career opportunity! The last time Dan presented for us, there was standing room only, so we’ve lined up a much larger room this time around to ensure that everyone has a seat. If you are looking to transition into a new career, you won’t want to miss this workshop!

Interviewing & Salary Negotiations Workshop on Friday, July 25^th from 10 am – 12 pm. Join Paula as she gives you the information you need to successfully maneuver your way through the interviewing process.  She will teach you what to do before, during and after the interview to land you a job, including how and when to negotiate your salary.

ONGOING RECRUITMENT!

Now hiring assemblers!  Adecco is currently interviewing every Thursday from 1:30 – 3:30 until the end of July to begin filling more than 100 long term temporary positions packaging DVDs for the Academy Awards!  Positions are Monday through Friday and work is guaranteed through January.  Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.  You must be able to pass mandatory background and drug screening tests. Alternate positions are available until the Academy Award assembler positions begin.
