Interviewing & Salary Negotiations, Tuesday, September 30th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  This workshop is designed to give you the tools you need to make a positive and lasting impression that wins you the job.  You will learn how to prepare for an interview, interview confidently, negotiate with ease, and follow up appropriately.

How to Prepare for a Job Fair, Thursday, October 2nd from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. You won’t want to miss this workshop to prepare for COC’s semi-annual Job & Career Fair on October 15th.  You’ll learn what to do to prepare for a job fair, what to do once you get there, and what to do afterwards to increase the odds of gaining employment through the contacts you’ll make at the fair.

SCV Job Club, Friday, October 3rd, 8:30 – 10:30 am. We are just bursting at the seams each month with job listings that we want to share with you along with practical advice for improving the results of your job search.  Join us the first Friday of every month and prepare to be motivated while speeding up your path to employment!

Ashley Furniture is returning to our center on Wednesday, October 1st from 1:00 – 4:00 pm to interview candidates for Sales Associates for their Northridge and Santa Clarita locations, and a Visual Merchandiser for their Santa Clarita store.  If you have sales experience or are skilled at retail display of merchandise, Ashley Furniture is looking for full-time staff at both locations.  They offer great benefits and opportunities for advancement within the organization.
