As summer begins, so does the heat, but this Saturday, June 11, city pools will open up for recreational swim and classes to help all cool off.
The Santa Clarita Aquatic Center, Newhall Pool, North Oaks Pool, Santa Clarita Pool, Valencia Glen Pool and Valencia Meadows pool will be open. Recreational swim is $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and children (ages 3 to 17) at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center. All pools except the Valencia Glen Pool offer recreational swim.
Classes for beginners and more experienced swimmers will be offered throughout the summer. Unique programs like AQUA Zumba, Underwater Hockey, Tri-it! Triathlon Training are also available.
Interested in joining a swimming team? Swim teams, diving teams, water polo teams, and synchronized swim teams are available.
Have you ever wanted to watch a movie and swim at the same time? Well now you can at Dive-in Movie Nights. Watch a movie while floating in a pool! Featured movies include, “Minions,” “The Good Dinosaur” and “Inside Out.” The price to attend Dive-in Movie Night is $10 per person.
