Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a Lancaster woman suspected of possessing unlawful drugs for sale at a Newhall car wash early Monday morning.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
“A deputy patrolling in Newhall Monday saw a woman next to a vehicle parked at a self-serve car wash on the 23900 block of Newhall Avenue.
“(Because) it was 4 a.m. and still dark outside, the deputy pulled in to check on the woman and make sure she was all right.
“The deputy made contact with the nervous woman and discovered there was a reason she was nervous.
“She was found to have a large quantity of methamphetamine, Oxycodone pills, a scale, baggies, and a large amount of U.S. currency in the vehicle.
“The deputy arrested Heather Merrill, 44, of Lancaster, on felony charges of possession of controlled substances for sales (methamphetamine and oxycodone). Merrill was transported and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.”
