The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department mourns with the victims of Saturday’s tragic incident at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and remains vigilant.
Here’s a post from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s socisal media:
“We are deeply saddened and we grieve with those affected, including our law enforcement partners.
“While there are no specific or credible threats received by law enforcement for the greater Los Angeles area, our personnel maintain a heightened state of situational awareness and remain vigilant in the protection of our communities.
“We are communicating with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners.
“We are also reaching out to religious leaders within our communities to provide them with any support they may need.
“LASD Stations are providing extra patrol around religious institutions within the communities they serve to ensure safety and security.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we have enhanced our security presence and have tactical units at the ready to prevent and respond to any emergency situation or event.
“The Sheriff’s Department employs thousands of uniformed deputy sheriffs who are on-duty 24-hours a day, seven days a week, patrolling and protecting the many diverse communities we serve throughout Los Angeles County.
“As we go about our day, we ask the public to remain vigilant and report any information about potential incidents to their local law enforcement.
