Filming at the College of the Canyons Valencia campus is scheduled on Monday morning near the Valencia Campus Library and will include the use of replica weapons and simulated gunfire.

The campus has done similar scenes on campus already this year, and they are carefully arranged and monitored to ensure minimal disruption to the campus, and to prevent any confusion about what is taking place.

Here are the details of what is planned for Monday:

– The filming will take place between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on the back side of the Library.

– The simulated gunfire will make noise, but will be only half as loud as an actual gun shot.

– The Sheriff’s Department has been notified and is aware of the filming.

– Our neighbors in the Summit have also been notified.

– Crew vehicles will be parked on the fire road between Lot 2 and the Library.

– Crew cars will be parked in Lot 2 for the scene and then clearing out.

– An outside traffic control company, ITC, will be controlling the south entry of Lot 2 for the duration of the scene (2 hours).

If you happen to be on campus Monday morning between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the area of Lot 2 and the east side of the Library, it will be clear that a film shoot is taking place. If you hear the simulated shots, there is no need to report them.
