The newly formed Greater SCV chapter of the California Republican Assembly will swear in its initial slate of officers Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
State CRA president Celeste Grieg will preside over the installation, to take place at Santa Clarita Republican Headquarters, 26523 Carl Boyer Drive, across from Dick’s Sporting Goods.
The group bills itself as “an exciting and positive group of conservative local activist who work together building our conservative base and helping our Republican leaders fight the good fight.”
It is the second CRA chapter to form locally following a contentious board election earlier this year that saw local activist David Gauny take the helm of the pre-existing chapter, the Santa Clarita Valley Republican Assembly.
Listed in a meeting notice for the new Greater SCV club are Lynn Haueter, Devon Cormier, Brian Koegle and Errol Valladares.
Chartered in 1934, the CRA is the state’s oldest Republican volunteer organization.
