Are you in between jobs? Looking to change career paths? Then College of the Canyons WorkSource Center is right for you.

From CNC machinist specialized recruitment training to basic computer skills workshops, the WorkSource Center has numerous workshops and courses that are designed to give your resume that extra edge it needs to land that new job.

The following is a list of some of the workshops that are available to register for, so if you want to get 2016 off to a fresh start now is your chance.

CNC Machinist Specialized Recruitment & Eligibility Workshop
Friday, Feb. 5 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
*You must arrive at or before 9 a.m.
This program is for candidates seeking entry-level positions in Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) manufacturing operations and a long-term career path in manufacturing. This intensive job training program will prepare you for the field of CNC machining at both industrial and aerospace manufacturing companies.

Basic Computer Skills Training
An interest list is being generated and classes will be scheduled soon.
In this workshop, you will increase your computer proficiency with this instructor-led, hands-on training held in a computer lab. This training is geared to help those with minimal or “rusty” computer skills gain meaningful skills and basic competency. Four sessions will cover a variety of useful tools. Those that complete all four sessions will receive a certificate of completion.

Quickbooks Hands-on Computer Training
An interest list is being generated and classes will be scheduled soon.
This training is designed to prepare job applications for entry-level positions in the accounting clerk/bookkeeping field that require knowledge of QuickBooks. The course is taught in the computer lab by a certified QuickBooks instructor and students will work directly with the software. The course includes two sessions on accounting concepts to ensure all graduates have familiarity with the accounting principles and terms involved with QuickBooks.
