NSD preschoolers are getting ready to move to kindergarten.

Enrollment packets for Newhall School District’s 2014-15 transitional kindergarten and kindergarten program will be available at Newhall School District schools on Monday, Feb. 10.

Children turning 5 years old between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2 of this year will be enrolled in transitional kindergarten, and children turning 5 on or before Sept. 1 of this year will enroll in kindergarten.

Transitional kindergarten (TK) is the first year of a 2-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate.

Enrollment packets include all necessary forms and provide health requirements, birth certificate information, and residency requirements for registration.

Transitional kindergarten and kindergarten registration will occur on Wednesday, March 12, at each of the school sites except for Meadows School, which will hold its registration on Friday, March 14.
