The Old Town Newhall Association’s Chalk Art Festival is coming this weekend with dozens of local artists and organizations ready to share their works with the Santa Clarita Valley community.
More than 30 different organizations and professional artists will line Main Street in Old Town Newhall where they will create works of art with chalk. This event offers the unique opportunity to not only see a showcase of chalk art but to also participate in some of the pieces.
Eleven professional artists will be working for three days to create their pieces. The festival includes Lorelle Miller, who will create an original, one-of-a-kind, multidimensional piece.
The OTNA Chalk Art Festival will be opener Friday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Fairy dancers from the Center Stage Dance Academy will be performing near Miller’s piece toward the Old Town Newhall roundabout at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Enjoy a “Walk on Newhall” from 10 a.m.- noon on Saturday where attendees can have the chance to win $100 off products at the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market. Pick up a passport from the OTNA booth at the festival or at the Farmers Market (located in the Old Town Newhall Library parking lot). Visit the businesses listed on the passport, get all of the stamps and drop your passport back off at an OTNA booth to be entered in the drawing. The winner of the drawing will be named by Sept. 30.
