Hart High traveled to West Ranch Wednesday and took a two-run lead into the seventh inning before giving up three runs and fell to West Ranch 5-4.
West Ranch High School’s Evan Gallatly knocked in the winning run with bases loaded in the seventh.
West Ranch improved to 5-1 in league and 13-6 overall. Bryce Collins pitched 6 strong innings for the Indians, he gave up 2 runs on three hits while striking out 9. Trent Bird got the win for the Cats coming in in relief after started Alex Burge pithed 4 2/3 innings, while giving up 4 runs on 5 hits and striking out 3. The series continues Friday at Hart, the two teams have split the first two meetings this spring.
