Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA) 30th Anniversary celebration will be held at the Hyatt Regency Valencia on Friday, Nov. 1, from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
The Hyatt is located at 24500 Town Center Dr.
Free viewing: As part of our community outreach, the artwork and other entertainment will be on display for free public viewing during the day from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
“We are seeking corporate and individual sponsors who are willing to help us fund our mission. All patrons and sponsors will receive tickets to the Art Classic and recognition at the event and on our website for a full year,” said SCAA Chair Dody Rogers. “This is the largest competitive fine art show in Santa Clarita. This event showcases local artists, an awards ceremony, live music, refreshments, and spectacular silent auction opportunities.”
SCAA was formed in 1989 by local artists to share their expertise and enthusiasm for art. The association has grown to over 150 members and has a broad range of talent from hobbyists to professionals. Our mission is to promote the visual arts in Santa Clarita by “Making Visual Art Visible” through exhibits and displays of artwork.
This year will be our 30th Anniversary Celebration of our annual Art Classic. The annual fundraiser helps to fund our high school art scholarships program, present free live art demonstrations for the public, fund art gallery expenses and other community exhibit expenses.
Please keep art alive in Santa Clarita by becoming a donor for the Art Classic. Email Dody Rogers for more information at cvdody@earthlink.net.
Join us in our celebration and possibly purchase an original piece of art for your home or office. Tickets for the Gala on Friday evening are $25 each.
