Lend a Hand to Shakespeare
Cast yourself as part of our company! It takes MANY hands to create, support, and present our programs. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Join the Shakespeare Festival as a Volunteer: Ushers, fundraisers, stitchers, and events staff.
FESTIVAL INTERN for a COLLEGE STUDENT
SCSF is once again part of the LA County Arts Commission Summer Arts Internship program. Open to college students in LA County, the program offers full-time paid internships at nearly 230 arts organizations across the county. Interested in interning with the summer festival. Scrooge is Coming to Town
Scrooge’s Long Night is back! This poplar program returns to elementary local schools this November. An original adaptation from Charles Dickens’ classic tale, Scrooge’s Long Night focuses on the universality of Scrooge’s journey to rekindle the goodness in his heart. Four actors create more than 12 characters using theatrical magic, costume changes, puppetry, music, special effects, and guided participation from the audience. Touring local schools in Novemeber. Special assistance for Title 1 schools is made possible with an Arts Grant from the City of Santa Clarita and contributors to the Shakespeare Festival. All performances are scheduled exclusively through the partnership with Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center K-12 program. This is a LIMITED ENGAGEMENT. For More Information, CLICK HERE

CREZCA Teatro, a community engagement project of the Shakespeare Festival, received a Local Impact Grant from the California Arts Council. The grant targets projects that make an impact on underserved communities in Santa Clarita and the Antelope Valley.CREZCA, and the Valley Oasis Chapter at Antelope Valley College are working together to create a theatrical piece focusing on healthy relationships, in the hopes of reducing the risk of domestic violence among students in high school and entering college.

Last Two Words….. Apprentice & a hint
High School Students, spend the summer with the Shakespeare Festival as part of the SUMMER APPRENTICE PROGRAM, learning and working besides the company members. The program is free for all local high school students….and a Hint: Want to know what the summer Shakespeare production will be? Here is the hint: “Oh Lord, What fools these mortals be!”
