Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a Pine Mountain man on weapons and drug charges Thursday, an out-of-town resident for alleged possession of methamphetamine and a zip gun Friday night, and two locals for alleged possession of heroin for sale on Saturday morning.
Here are the stories from the station’s official social media:
“On Thursday, deputies were patrolling on the 25000 block of the Old Road, Stevenson Ranch, when they spotted a white male adult standing outside of a vehicle in a parking lot.
“They stopped and made contact with the individual since all of the businesses in the area were closed.
“He was found to be in possession of narcotics and a firearm. Deputies arrested the 33-year-man from Pine Mountain on the felony charge of addict in possession of a firearm and misdemeanor charges of possession of methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station.”
The second incident took place in Newhall:
“Friday night around 9:45, deputies were patrolling on the 20500 block of Newhall Avenue when they made contact with a male adult.
“Deputies learned the man was from out of town and in possession of methamphetamine and a zip gun. Possession of a zip gun is illegal and a felony charge.
“The 29-year-old suspect was arrested and booked at the SCV Sheriff Station’s jail.

The two arrests for heroin were made in Castaic and Valencia Saturday morning:
“We arrested individuals for sales of heroin in two unrelated incidents on Saturday at 8 in the morning.
“A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Ridge Route Road in Castaic and found that the white male adult was in possession of heroin for sales, and that he was on parole for robbery. The deputy arrested him on two felony charges.
“Coincidentally, around the same time as the Castaic arrest, a deputy made contact with a female white adult in a vehicle parked near a business on McBean Parkway. She was found to be in possession of heroin for sale and wanted for a $40,000 misdemeanor warrant.
“Both the male adult and female adult were transported to our jail.”
