Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested seven people last week suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, station officials reported Sunday.
Here’s more of the story from the station’s social media:
“Our deputies strive to reduce tragedies caused by people driving while impaired.
“Over this last week, SCV Sheriff’s (Station) deputies arrested seven individuals for driving while under the influence.
“The drivers ranged in age from 21 to 53 years old. Our last arrest occurred just after 12 a.m. (Sunday) morning.
“If you’re planning on drinking, make sure you have a sober driver. It’s not just about you. There are other people on the roads who want to get where they are going safely. Don’t let alcohol cause you to be a risk to yourself and others on the road.
“Drinking and driving is an act of selfishness. Before you put your keys in the ignition, remind yourself that buzzed driving is drunk driving. If you feel a buzz, you are in no shape to drive.”
