Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested a Glendale man for allegedly driving under the influence and with a suspended driver’s license in Stevenson Ranch early Tuesday morning.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media on Wednesday:
“A Glendale man with a suspended driver’s license and under the influence gets off the freeway, makes stop in Stevenson Ranch. We transport him to his next stop — the Santa Clarita Valley jail.
“On Tuesday morning, around 2 a.m., deputies were patrolling on The Old Road near Pico Canyon Road when they spotted a vehicle parked near a closed business.
“Due to proactively wanting to prevent any potential commercial burglaries, the deputies pulled over to check.
“Deputies made contact with the driver, a male adult from Glendale. Deputies observed that the man was exhibiting symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
“Then, they found out the 21-year-old was also driving on a suspended license.
“He was arrested on a narcotics charge, driving on a suspended license, and his car was towed.
“We’re watching day and night – to protect our residents and businesses, to the best of our abilities.”
