Good seats are still available for Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason and his Traffic Jam concert at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center next Thursday night.
Mason was founding member of Traffic. He jammed with Hendrix and played on Jimi’s “All Along the Watchtower.” Mason was a Friend with Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, and Dave’s 1970 debut album “Alone Together” still rocks 44 years later, just like he does.
The Santa Clarita set will feature Traffic classics and choice solo hits, with Mason’s tight three-piece band backing him up. Get your tickets at canyonspac.com or by calling the PAC box office at 661-362-5304. It should be a sell-out.
Now, SCV YouTube superstar and “House Blend” favorite Sara Niemietz doesn’t play a lot of local gigs. But the vivacious and versatile vocalist will be at Salt Creek Grille at Town Center Sunday evening. Even better, Sara’s bringing the whole Babylon Social Club to play behind her. The lineup includes her guitar partner Snuffy Walden plus Herman Matthews, Bennett Salvay, Leslie Smith and Terry Wilson. Showtime’s at 5 p.m. and reservations are a good idea. Call 661-222-9999.
On Saturday night at 10, you can get a preview of Sara’s show at Salt Creek. Tune in for a special edition of SCVTV’s “House Blend” featuring Sara and Snuffy Walden performing as a duo. Hosted by yours truly, “House Blend” airs on SCVTV and streams everywhere at SCVTV.com.
