“SCV Today” show hosts Tami Edwards and Dave Caldwell
“SCV Today,” Santa Clarita’s original morning show airing on SCVTV, will be on location next week at Heritage Junction in Newhall.
The shows will be shot in front of the historic Ranch House adjacent to the SCV Historical Society’s Saugus Train Station headquarters at Hart Park in Newhall.
“We are all about promoting why Santa Clarita is such a great place to live, work and play,” said “SCV Today” co-host Dave Caldwell. “The foundation of that is the valley’s rich history.”
The Historical Society preserves the richness of the area’s history which includes the first documented discovery of gold in California (six years before Sutter’s Mill, thank you), as well as the first commercial oil production west of Pennsylvania and a filming history that reaches back to the earliest days of “Hollywood.”
Assembly candidate Edward Headington is scheduled to appear on the show, as is Emma Howard, a finalist for the role of Annie in the Broadway revival and the current star of the Glendale Theatre production of the same show.
“SCV Today” from Heritage Junction will air on SCVTV Tuesday through Friday, beginning June 26.
