On the second Thursday of every month, the City of Santa Clarita hosts Note by Note, a singer-songwriter night in Old Town Newhall, as part of its popular Thursdays@Newhall series. Songwriters will take the stage on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m. at Newhall Refinery, 24258 Main Street.
Note by Note is a chance for professional and aspiring songwriters to showcase their songs in front of a live audience, as well as an opportunity for fans to hear new music. Each songwriter performs four original songs of their own composition.
Performing on Sept. 8, featured artist Jodi Siegel relocated to Los Angeles in the late 80’s to play and sing with countless blues, R&B, pop and original music groups. Over the years, Jodi has opened for or shared the stage with many respected musicians including Albert King, Robben Ford, Kris Kristofferson, David Lindley and many others. She has performed at the Coach House, Saint Rocke, The Belly Up, The Lighthouse, The Mint, McCabe’s and many other venues throughout Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County. In addition to her bluesy and soulful vocals, Jodi also plays the slide guitar.
Also performing at the Thursday, September 8 Note by Note will be Pat Nason, J.C. Hyke, Jody Mulgrew and Cynthia Brando.
