Tickets are still available for Friday night’s Empowering HeArts, which is the signature fundraising event for Single Mothers Outreach.

Proceeds from sponsorships, ticket sales, and retail sales from Single Mother’s Outreach’s Closet on Main in Downtown Newhall are all essential to supporting our programs that enable and empower single parents to effectively care for their families.

This year’s gala will be held Friday, Feb. 8, at the Hyatt Regency in Valencia from 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Purchase your tickets so you could guarantee your seat and enjoy a night of art, a great dinner, celebrating our honorees, and some dancing fun.

Empowering HeArts is an annual celebration of women who have changed lives and shaped their communities. It bridges the worlds of social action and artistic expression in an annual arts competition. Honorees are nominated by the community and selected by the Single Mothers Outreach Board of Directors and the Empowering HeArts Planning Committee.

The Empowering Hearts Gala is an opportunity for Single Mother’s Outreach to present creative works of Santa Clarita Valley artists who create unique art forms inspired by the real-life stories of the female honorees that embody this year’s theme of resilience.

At the Gala, each of the Artist Honorees will be eligible to win two further awards. First, the Dottie Award is given to the artist who creates the most compelling visual story. The People’s Choice award is chosen by Gala attendees from votes cast at the actual event.
