Basic Computer Skills Training. Have you been out of work and unable to find a new job due to your poor or outdated computer skills?   Are you a Mature Worker with less than comfortable skill using a computer? Starting in June, the Santa Clarita WorkSource is offering Basic Computer Skills Training for qualified job seekers.  The classes are twice a week for 4 weeks and will cover all the basic computer skills you will need in order to use a computer at work and for your job search.  The training will emphasize hands-on “at the computer” work, and will include a mix of computer lessons, videos, interactive practice and optional quizzes. Department of Rehabilitation Orientation.  Are you a person with a permanent disability? Is your disability a barrier to getting or keeping a job? The Department of Rehabilitation will be here with an Informative Orientation to provide an overview of the types of services they offer, eligibility requirements, and the process to begin receiving their services. Tuesday, June 10th from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.

SCV Library Resource.  Our Santa Clarita Valley libraries have fantastic resources onsite and online to assist you in your efforts to land a job. Learn how to: get feedback on your resume or cover letter within 24 hours/7 days a week; gain access to LIVE interview coaching online; improve your basic computer skills; and, much, much more at no cost to you in the comfort of your own home.  Friday, June 13th from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm.
