Caregiver Recruitment on Thursday, January 30th from 1-3:30 pm.  Right at Home is looking for individuals who want to make a difference by helping seniors and others to remain living independently in the privacy and comfort of their own homes.  This is a great Part-Time job for caring, compassionate, and dependable Retirees, Mature Adults, and Homemakers.  A dependable vehicle is a must. Responsibilities will include companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation and transportation.

NEW WORKSHOPS:

NEW. Transportation Planning Workshop on Tuesday, January 28th from 11 am – 12:30 pm. Would you like help finding transportation to school, job hunting or other related activities?  We’ve partnered up with Catch-A-Ride to help you.  Learn how to find a bus route, read a bus schedule, find discounts for your ride and travel with a transportation professional which will help you learn which way to go.

Resume help is here for you.  If you need someone experienced with resumes to review yours to ensure that it has what it takes to be an effective marketing tool for your job search, look no further.  The Santa Clarita WorkSource and College of the Canyons’ Career Services Department have joined forces to offer you comprehensive assistance with your resume.

Resume & Cover Letter Workshops every Monday.  If you have an old resume that needs updating to make it current and effective in today’s job market, you’ll want to attend this workshop.  We go in depth into how to take your resume from “OK” to “Outstanding”.

NEW. Rapid Resume Review.  If you have already updated your resume but need a quick review to ensure that it’s up to par or to verify that it fits a job description for you which you are applying, you can stop in to have it reviewed at one of our Rapid Resume Reviews.  The first one was such a success that we will begin offering it every Thursday starting in February.

NEW. Starting a Resume Weekly Mini-Workshop. If you really need some “hand-on” assistance to get your resume started, College of the Canyons’ Career Services staff has just what you need.  Their new Quick Star Resume workshops are aimed at helping job seekers put together a basic resume from start to finish.  You must call them to RSVP at 661-362-3286 as there is a 5 person limit per session.  The good news is that the workshops are held on Monday, Tuesday, AND Thursday every week at the Student Center in Room 123.
