Two men from Van Nuys were arrested in Saugus by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies on multiple charges including burglary, grand theft and possession of burglary tools on Monday night.
According to the station’s social media, then pair allegedly smashed the window of a woman’s car, stole a purse, and purchased more than $2,000 worth of merchandise before the victim knew her car was burglarized.

“An observant citizen witnessed suspicious activity at a park located on the 27000 block of Bouquet Canyon Road, and was able to provide responding deputies a description of the suspects and their getaway vehicle.
“A crime broadcast was put out to all of the patrol units. Deputies out in the field observed a car matching the description of the suspects’ and conducted a felony traffic stop. Deputies found the suspects to be in possession of the victim’s purse, as well as several bags of new merchandise that were just purchased at the local mall.
“Deputies arrested two men, ages 18 and 43, of Van Nuys on multiple charges including burglary, grand theft and possession of burglary tools. The suspects were transported and booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station jail.”

Scum, glad they got caught and hope they will actually do time. How do two men steal a woman’s purse, use her credit card(s) at local merchants and those same merchants put forth $2000 worth of charges without asking for id? Just saying….
