Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station have few leads, but are hopeful someone in the community can provide information that can help put school vandals behind bars.

On Thursday, August 18, 2011, deputies from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station responded to the Castaic Middle School at 29800 Hillcrest Parkway, unincorporated Los Angeles County (Castaic) to reports that the school had been vandalized.

Deputies found that sometime between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night, August 17, 2011, and 5:00 a.m. Thursday morning, August 18, 2011, unknown persons entered the multipurpose room and other areas of the school, including a music classroom. The suspect(s) damaged musical instruments, ripped wiring out of electrical boxes, and damaged the school with graffiti related vandalism.

Detectives do not have any suspect descriptions at this point and they are hopeful someone in the community saw or knows something about this crime and are willing to come forward and assist law enforcement in solving the case.
