Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested a convicted felon wanted in Washington State in Stevenson Ranch Thursday morning.
The man was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle and in possession of ammunition as well as methamphetamine for sale, according to authorities.
Here’s more of the story from the station’s social media:
“A pair of deputies just starting their shift on Thursday conducted a traffic stop around 8 a.m. on The Old Road, Stevenson Ranch for vehicle code violations.
“Little did they realize at the time they had just recovered a stolen car and captured a 24-year-old man who was a wanted felon for weapon charges from another state.
“The suspect had switched license plates on the vehicle in an attempt to disguise that the car was stolen. But the real license plate was found in the car, along with a large quantity of methamphetamine, a scale, and baggies consistent with that of drug sales.
“Deputies have been in communication with the police department up in Washington sharing the good news that one of their stolen cars have been located, along with a suspect they’ve been looking for.
“And, the good news for SCV is that this individual will not victimize anyone around here because he’s in jail, where he belongs.”
