The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve in Lancaster is now in full bloom, with poppies and other wildflowers all across the park.
The peak should last through at least the next week, and we expect to have flowers continuing to bloom into May.
For regular bloom updates, visit our Facebook page www.Facebook.com/PoppyReserve, our website www.parks.ca.gov/PoppyReserve, Twitter @PoppyReserve, or call our Wildflower Hotline at 661-724-1180.
Please remember, the following are prohibited for the protection of the habitat: walking off-trail, dogs, bikes on trails, and drones. We have a moratorium on commercial filming/photography for the season.
Food is only allowed in the picnic area; there is no food available for purchase at the park. Bring water and sun protection.
The Jane S. Pinheiro Interpretive Center is open daily through Mother’s Day, May 12, at 15101 Lancaster Road, Lancaster 93536.
