Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced a new pilot will call ballot pick up and drop off service throughout Los Angeles County for the June 7 Presidential Primary starting May 28.
Voters will have the option to request a Vote by Mail ballot, online or over the phone, and pick it up at a location of their choice. Voters can request will call ballots starting on May 23rd to be available beginning May 28th continuing through June 6th.
These locations will give voters a new in-person option for completing and returning a Vote by Mail ballot. Voting booths will be setup in dedicated areas to allow voters to mark and complete their ballots, if they choose or they can simply pick up the ballot and return by mail or at a polling location on Election Day.
All 11 Will Call ballot pick up locations will also function as ballot drop-off locations. Voters who have completed a Vote by Mail ballot can return them at any of these 11 locations. This new program looks to provide voters with an additional voting opportunity in the upcoming election.
The nearest location for Santa Clarita Valley residents is the Lancaster location at 44509 16th Street West, Suite 101, as well as the Van Nuys location at 14340 West Sylvan Street.
Note that all locations will be closed on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day.
