As the school year comes to a close, Santa Clarita Transit is just getting started with the Summer Beach Bus service.

This weekend our annual Summer Beach Bus service begins, and what better way to celebrate than taking a trip to the Santa Monica Coast event?

On Sunday June, 5 Metro will host an open streets event in Downtown Santa Monica which will provide visitors an opportunity to explore the City in a unique, car-free environment.

Attendees will be able to walk, skate, or bike along a 2-mile section of city streets and enjoy the local vendors along the route.

The Summer Beach Bus operates from June 4, 2016 through September 4, 2016.

It departs from various stops throughout Santa Clarita between 8:40 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and returns from Santa Monica at 4:30 p.m.

The cost is $3.00 each way ($1.50 for seniors and persons with disabilities) and FREE for City employees with a City-issued TAP card.

For a complete schedule and details regarding Santa Monica’s Coast event visit www.SantaClaritaTransit.com.
