[District Attorney] – A man faces a felony charge for allegedly pointing a laser at a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department chopper flying over Agoura Hills, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Rachel Bowers said Christopher Robert Cooper (dob 4/20/84) of Lake Elsinore faces one count of discharge of laser at aircraft. Case LA081568 was filed on Aug. 25.

Arraignment for Cooper is scheduled today in Department 100 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Van Nuys Branch.

The defendant is accused of aiming a laser pointer at the helicopter hovering above a home on Francisca Way on Aug. 11, prosecutor said.

Bail has been set at $110,000.

If convicted as charged, Cooper faces a possible maximum sentence of 10 years in state prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Lost Hills Station.

Why is it that every time some one does some thung stupid its all about ban this and ban that I think ten years in prison sends a pretty strong message.So just stop trying to ban every thing they are not taking our guns I have the right to protect my family you think if you ban gund it would stop all the shootings you see on the lame stream media.Then if so you are completely out of your indoctrinated mind and need to try a little critical thinking out side the box.We have the right to bare arms.This right is the second amendment number 2 think about it the founding fathers relized you couldn’t have the first amendment with out a way to protect it from foreign and most important domestic evil tyrannical men in our government wake up people and smell your constitution!!
