Recommendation to sell surplus land and grant of easements from the County of Los Angeles to the County Sanitation District No. 2 of Los Angeles County Royal Palms Beach in the San Pedro area. (Item 22)

Recommendation to award a contract for as-needed emergency removal services of hazardous material in an annual amount of $2,500,000. (Item 23)

Approval sought for three proposed capital projects at the Hall of Records with a complete budget of $21,504,000. (Item 25)

Approval sought for the Live Oak Library Refurbishment Project with a total project budget of $7,315,000. (Item 26)

Approval sought to establish the Former Cogen Landfill Gas Extraction System and Monitoring Plan Project and approve the budget of $4,410,000. (Item 27)

Adopt/rescind traffic regulations to support safety, enhance traffic flow, facilitate street sweeping and provide adequate parking for disabled persons. (Item 29)

Approval sought for the proposed Live Oak Dam and Reservoir Inlet/Outlet Works Rehabilitation Project in the unincorporated area of Claremont, at an estimated construction contract amount between $1,400,000 and $1,900,000. (Item 30)

Approval sought for the Del Valle Road Water Main Replacement Project with an estimated total amount of $3,750,000. (Item 31)

Report by the Commercially Sexually Exploited Children Integrated Leadership Team on the expansion of the First Responder Protocol and advocacy services. (Item 33)

The Claims Board recommends a $2,700,000 settlement for a lawsuit alleging wrongful death and Federal civil rights violations by a Sheriff’s Deputy. (Item 36)

The Claims Board recommends a $625,000 settlement for a lawsuit alleging injuries received in an automobile accident involving a Sheriff’s Deputy. (Item 37)

    Looking forward to the events happening this month. I hope this anniversary helps to keep the ball rolling for The St. Francis Dam to achieve National Memorial status. It’s a tragic story that more people should be aware of.
