This week’s SCVTV/AMG & Associates Student-Athlete of the Week is Angie Weiner from Saugus High School. Angie has a cumulative GPA of 3.7 and has not yet taken the SAT. She says she finds learning enjoyable.
“School’s cool,” Angie said. “I mean, it would be different if you didn’t have friends and people to communicate. But yeah, it’s cool. I like to learn new things. It just helps to know and be intelligent when speaking to other people.”
Angie may be a kicker on the football team, but soccer is her No. 1 sport, and that’s what she wants to play at he next level.
“I actually want to go to college in Oregon,” she said, referring to the University of Oregon. “Because the soccer programs are good up there and I love the weather up there.”
But no matter where she goes to college, Angie knows what she wants to become… a special education teacher.
“In elementary school I was a girl scout and we worked with some special education kids,” Angie said. “I really enjoyed the time I spent with them.”
Congratulations to Angie Weiner of Saugus High School, our SCVTV/AMG & Associates Student-Athlete of the Week.
