Deputies arrested a man Monday who passed out on a Canyon Country bus with a gun in his waistband, and awoke to a SWAT Team.

  2. In a week where our LEO’s are being ambushed, I would rather see them be overly cautious by bringing in additional resources. It’s easy to judge when you’re not the one going into the bus.

  3. Seeing as the SWAT team comes from LA. How much easier would it be to take care of the situation yourself rather than wait an hour for the SWAT team to come through traffic? I understand what’s been going on but a swat team for a guy passed out is ridiculous!

  6. He could have been strapped with explosives…. these days REQUIRE extra precaution, no matter how silly it may seem.

      What if he was faking and wanted to shoot it out and kill cops at the busiest intersection in the city. Great place for a shootout. And what if the cops killed him because they rushed in and forced a confrontation. Tjink there might be protests????Think before you post. #ALLLIVESMATTER

  9. What if he wasn’t really passed out, or was faking? Who knows!! But of all weeks to take any chances is just crazy! I don’t blame them for the actions they took one bit!! People are so damn quick to judge!

    When police become walking targets these days who blames them for taking precautions? Officers do what they can from what the situation presents. Put on a cops uniform and then you can make a more informed judgement on how it should be handled.

  12. It woukd have been SAFE and EASY to grab the gun from his waist band, and made it much EASIER for traffic getting thru town

  13. Because they had to make it a big deal!!! My mom was unable to come home for almost an hour!!!

  18. This was not a tv crime show. Its so sad that people really think that the police just run up and grab guns from people and the situation is over. Unfortunately too many people believe what they see on tv. If only it was that easy.

    How many more tickets will the sheriff’s dept have to write to pay for swat to come remove a gun from a man sleeping? Scv sheriff’s not trained to use a tazer, they sure are quick to approach a car with weapons drawn what happened here? Makes you wonder if something really serious should happen are
    they gonna wait and call the attorney general ?

    This is very scary my young son takes the bus home when he is in school now I’m scared to let him!

  24. To everyone calling them officers or the police…..they are deputies of the Sheriffs department.

    Kevin, Maybe Jared worded it incorrectly…maybe because you “apparently” work your A$$ off you deserve your entitlement, but what is sad is that your personal agenda appears to be more important than officer / deputy safety…and the safety of those that were on the bus. That my friend shows your true character and self-entitlement which I believe is where Jared was going. But its your world and we are here to accommodate you bud.
