The 15th Annual Bow-Wows and Meows Pet Fair is coming back to the Santa Clarita Valley on October 11 at Hart Park.

Well behaved pets on leashes are welcome at the free event which will bring together over 70 vendors full of pet related supplies and services.

Some vendors include the Super Raffler, food trucks, clothing for pets and people, educational vendors, an animal photographer, pet psychic, low cost vaccine clinic, treats and toys.

All six of the Los Angeles County Animal Shelters and a few rescues will be on hand with plenty of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens available for adoption.

There is also still time to be part of the event as a retail, non-profit or rescue vendor at the event but be sure to apply before the early bird discount ends on June 30.

Food vendor applications will be available in July.

Too bad they do not let any other kind of pets – only dogs and cats. There are rescues for many other kinds of pets and our shelters also handle other things besides dogs and cats. For it to be real pet fair they should be fair and have ALL pets welcome. Just my two cents on the subject.

There are so many animals in need, as Abigail says. This pet fair was created to specifically support those animals that find themselves in the County Shelter system which are overwhelmingly dogs and cats but a few others end up there too. As a result, the county shelters bring other animals they happen to have at the time. They have brought rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes and even a chicken once and… Most of them were adopted at the fair!
